Sea Lion pup Waltberry came into rehab at The Marine Mammal Center looking so unbelievably skinny. A deflated version of what he should be. But despite his state of extreme malnutrition, this little pup was curious, defiant, determined to survive. Despite this difficult start to life, Waltberry gained weight, made a full recovery, and was released back into the ocean! Pups like these make marine mammal rehab so rewarding.

This piece is woodburned by hand on a basswood round measuring 9 × 6 inch round and comes with a sawtooth hanger on the back for easy hanging.
