Papel Picado

Papel Picado

from $35.00

These Papel Picado linoprints are in honor of Dia de Muertos, a Mexican holiday centered around family and friends celebrating and remembering loved ones that have passed on. Papel picado is typically made of tissue paper and has intricate cut outs, often featuring designs of “calaveras” or skulls, the most classic symbol of the holiday. These papel picado linoprints feature some of my personal favorite Dia de Muertos motifs, including some I have in my own home! I’ve always loved how bright, cheerful, and beautiful papel picado is, and I’m thrilled to have this printed version in my studio.

These prints come in two sizes, medium and large:

  • The medium print includes 4 papeles and are printed on 100% cotton rag paper measuring 5.5 × 14 inches

  • The large print includes 6 papeles and are printed on 100% cotton rag paper measuring 7 × 11 inches.
